Today, the cowboys are in the background; soon, the four will be cowboys on Ranches:

 Nicanor Jay Jara joined the crew on December 21. This 7 pound new cowboy is the son of Jane O'Brien and Javier Jara and is bored with the whole thing. 2008 was a rough year for the Ranches crew with Jay and Andrew having injuries, bad market judgment by management and Wales spending the year conquering leukemia. However, the arrival of these three cowboys and the recovery of the older cowboys made 2008 a net great year. For the land which you go
to possess is not like the land ... from which you have come, where you
sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; but the land
which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks
water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the LORD your God cares; the
eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year
to the very end of the year. |
At 11 months, Nico showed a natural inclination to clime on a horse.
On August 29, Ranches added two new hands to our crew. On left Dale Smith
holds Henry Alexander and on right Andrew Bivins holds Nolan Montgomery.
