At the split of I-40 east (to Oklahoma City) and Highway 287 (to Fort Worth),

stay in the right lane and take Hwy 287 19.5 miles to Claude.

 

In Claude, turn south at the blinking light and the CEFCO gas station.

This is Hwy 207 (also Hurley Ave.), the Silverton Highway.

 

Go 13.3 miles south on 207 to FM 2272.

 

Turn east on FM 2272, and go 6 miles east to the end of the pavement, at the microwave tower.

 

Turn south onto CO RD 21 and go 9.5 miles on the dirt road to headquarters, crossing 7 cattleguards.

 

Directions to the various pens are at the bottom.

Plains Corral:  In Claude, turn south at the blinking light and the Food Mart.

 Turn east on FM 2272, and go 6 miles east to the end of the pavement, at the microwave tower.    Go one mile south and then one mile east on caliche road.   Pens are on north side of road.

 Turn south onto CO RD 21 and go 9.5 miles on the dirt road to headquarters, crossing 7 cattleguards.

  

Battlecreek Pens:  At Headquarters, you turn left and go a little over 3 miles crossing two cattleguards.   Before you go through a dip, you take a dirt road to the south or right and go another 3 miles to a set of pens.

 

Halls Creek Pens:  When you hit a dead end with the rock barn directly in front of you and the houses to your right, turn left.

 After four cattleguards and right before a fifth cattleguard (7.25 miles from headquarters), you will see a road going to the South, but don’t take it and take keep on the road heading east crossing the fifth cattleguard.   There will be an overhead feed storage on your right.   To 1.9 miles and cross a bridge.  Immediately after the bridge turn to the right and drive a quarter of a mile to the pens.

 

Harrison:   From Headquarters go east and turn north on a good road about a quarter mile after the third cattleguard at a mailbox.   Go north about  half a mile and the pens are in a valley to the right.   The truck will see a windmill and turn down toward it.

 

Suckerrod Pens:   In Claude, turn south at the blinking light and the Texaco Food Mart.

This is Hwy 207 (also Hurley Ave.), the Silverton Highway.

Go 13.3 miles south on 207 to FM 2272.

 Turn east on FM 2272, and go 6 miles east to the end of the pavement, at the microwave tower.

 Turn south onto CO RD 21 and go 7 miles on the dirt road crossing 5 cattleguards.   Right after the 5th cattleguard, there will be an overhead feed bin on the left.   Turn left before the bin and go about one mile to the Suckerrod Pens.

 

Wylie:  From Headquarters go east and turn south on good dirt road before fifth cattleguard (7.25 miles).   There is an overhead feed storage immediately on the other side of the cattleguard you don’t cross.

    Go South about three miles and turn left before crossing a cattleguard.   Go east about 1.5 miles past a house.   Go through the fence on the right at the second set of gates after the house.   Continue west to the pens.
